First, I am currently on a ship off Africa so I have only slow satellite access to anything outside this little world called work where I spend 28 days and then get home for 25. I'm not new to forums, but have a ways to go to get my feet under me here.

#Qnap surveillance station functions how to
I haven't even figured out how to add my signature here. Have you submitted a ticket with the QNAP Helpdesk about this issue?Īlistair, Sorry for the minimal first post. Have you tried all three of these browsers for this purpose? The add-on for your browser may be only 32bit, so it might require use of a 32bit Web Browser, which might be challenging in this age of 64bit computers and 64bit Web Browsers. QNAP claims it can be used by Chrome, Firefox or IE.

I assumed that you couldn't reach the WebUI based on your terse description of the issue. If you can already access the Surveillance Station WebUI remotely, then my advice wasn't very useful to you. ( QNAP still hasn't developed a Linux client for it). I can not use Surveillance Station at all here. Has this anything to do with the port forwarding suggestion? Thanks I'm afraid I can't help with that part. Then i retry on my Chrome browser and it is as if nothing has been installed, since it again asks me to install Qmon. I can access the NAS QTS remotely, but when I click on the Surveilance Station monitor and playback buttons, it asks me to install a Qmon.exe, which I do.
